Joel R. Fogel

Founder & CEO


Joel oversees portfolio strategy, firm operations and the investment making process. He is engaged in all matters related to investment management, deal structuring and execution, portfolio monitoring and exit strategy assessment. Joel has been investing in real estate in a private institutional context for over 20 years, including the innovation of de novo debt and equity strategies and the management of a variety of assets through market cyclicality. Previously, Joel joined Archer Capital Management, initially as its first team member, from 2006 to 2017, investing the portfolio during its early growth stage and expanding the firm's historically diverse real estate debt and equity investments. Prior to Archer, Joel spent five years at a boutique real estate firm specializing in high-yield senior secured debt investment.

Joel serves on the National Board and as Treasurer of the American Friends of the Israel Philharmonic.  Joel also serves as Chair of JVPF, a venture philanthropic effort focused on pivot growth investments, and as a Board Member and Chair of the Investment Committee of Shalhevet High School. Joel earned a B.S. summa cum laude from Yeshiva University and lives in Los Angeles.
